Entrepreneurship Boot Camp

Monday, October 6
7:45 am – 5:30 pm
Hyatt Regency Conference Center
(located in the West Building of McCormick Place Convention Center)

The Entrepreneurship Boot Camp is a one-day course specifically designed for CEOs and General Managers of pre-revenue startups and early-stage medical device and diagnostic companies.

Innovators face a myriad of complex issues when commercializing their technology – FDA approval, reimbursement claims, compliance requirements, manufacturing hurdles and marketing and growth strategies. The Entrepreneurship Boot Camp will guide small company executives to develop actionable strategic plans to bring their innovations to market. Attendees will also gain an understanding of how investors are managing regulatory and financial risk, and key factors to capital formation.

The program opens with a networking breakfast and poster session showcasing innovative start-ups and academic spin-outs. A series of interactive discussions track the experiences of small-company CEOs across the MedTech lifecycle. A Business Plan Competition features the best poster sessions presented to a panel of investors and serial entrepreneurs providing instant feedback with the winner announced during an exclusive networking lunch with strategic business development executives and investors. The program concludes in the afternoon with Break-out Sessions—an opportunity to meet individually with subject matter experts in finance, product design and development, regulatory, reimbursement, legal and compliance issues—as well as Investor Speed-Dating with active MedTech investors.
